What is DNOW?

  • Disciple Now, a weekend of teaching, worship, small groups, and fun activities. The theme for this year is Kingdom Now, and your student will be challenged to serve and grow the Kingdom of God here and now.

Who can come?

  • All students currently in 6-12th grades.

What does my $75 registration cover?

  • Friday late-night meal and activity
  • Group meetings (Teaching, Worship, Games)
  • Saturday's 3 meals and breakfast on Sunday
  • A sweatshirt hoodie

Where will students stay? Who will drive them during the weekend?

  • Students will be assigned to small groups that will meet and stay overnight in host homes. All groups are the same gender and grade.
  • The host home adults and small group leaders will be in charge of transportation during the weekend. Students will not be allowed to drive themselves during the weekend's activities, unless given special permission by their parents and CFBC Student Staff.
  • We will notify you of your host home before February 14. You will drop off your luggage at your host home that Friday, so you do not have to bring it with you to the church on Friday night. More details will come about host homes and luggage drop-off.

I'm a parent. What should I do to prepare my student and my family for DNOW?

  • There will be a parent meeting on Wednesday, February 5th at 7:30 PM. We will give you detailed information about our plans for the weekend and give you time to turn in your forms.
  • Plus, the entire family is invited to Sunday night's worship service at 6:00 PM.

Do I have to bring any paperwork?

A notary will be present at the parent meeting and at check-in.

What else do I need to bring?

  • Bible
  • Pen
  • Notebook
  • Casual clothes
  • Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, comb, hairbrush...the usual)
  • Towel and washcloth
  • Jacket
  • Bedding (sleeping bag, air mattress if you prefer not to sleep on the floor, pillow)
  • Snacks to share

What if I have other plans during that weekend, like a sporting event I'm playing in? Can I still come?

  • Yes! We still want you to come, even if you have to leave for a few hours and come back. Please fill out a Time Away card at check-in to let us know what time we should expect you to leave and return.
